THE BIGGER PICTURE
The construction of Miami Freedom Park is a significant part of the club's brief history alongside the signing of Argentina legend Lionel Messi last summer. However, the World Cup-winning Argentine skipper might not play in the Herons' new home ground as his current contract expires at the end of the 2025 season, although there is the option for a further year.
